Gooey Butter Cookies

1/2 cup butter, softened

1/4 teaspoon vanilla

1 egg

1 8 oz package cream cheese, softened

1 box butter recipe yellow cake mix

Powdered sugar

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat butter, vanilla, egg and cream cheese until fluffy. Cover and chill for 30 minutes. Lightly spray cookie sheets. Drop batter by teaspoon in a bowl of powdered sugar. Roll into balls. Bake for 12 minutes or until golden brown. Makes 4 dozen cookies.
